Created during the 1940s, the rare combination of the applied red base with the blue berry hue gives this particular lot a disparate visual appeal. The clustered formation of design is spaced with white patches. There is a definite vintage appeal owing to the border with a red base, furthermore the exquisitely created large medallion in the centre fulcrums the flow of pattern. Known for their vibrant coloured organically dyed rugs, works from this central Persian tribal community are revered and highly desirable.
