A magnificent 13 feet runner, is patterned with five streamlined medallions on indigo blue ground. The Hamadan Runner is composed with a thick deep navy-blue border complemented with a floral motif. The unique five medallion formation gives this runner a heritage leverage and commands attention. Hamadan, a city in Central Iran with an age old tradition of carpet weaving, this particular rug was probably woven in Borchalou. The carpet industry received fecund sources given, many surrounding smaller villages near Hamadan were involved in the trade.
