This lot was created during the 1930s, and has an incredible provenance of rich weaving technique. The Herati design, named after the city of Herat that is observed in this rug, is of great prominence to the region of its creation. The intricate design is elegant and enveloped with dark red colour with a double border. The medallion has been established on a dark blue ground.
