This lot is a pictorial representation of the holy day, Sharad Purnima. The full moon in the figure has a special significance, considering Sharad Purnima is the first full moon night (Purnima) of the monsoon, which marks the onset of autumn (Sharad). On this occasion, a special dance is performed called Raas Leela by the gopis. The Pichwai has Shrinathji in the centre, flanked by beautiful Gopis, or Maidens on both sides.
