This rug’s origin can be traced back to the northwest region of Persia, that being the present-day region of Heris, East Azherbhaijan. More often than not, Heriz carpet makers created with geometric shapes and abstract patterns in bold colours, this particular rug reflects the traits, and is an abstract rendition of a red midnight sky. The incorporated hue of blue enables to break the alliterating presence of red observed in the design. The patterns established are positioned in perfect symmetry.
