This lot has been signed by the maker, Makmal Baff (top centre) a famous workshop in Mashed. The design adopted in this work is named after the juggernaut 16th century carpet that was found in the mosque of Aradbil during early 20th century. The original carpet is now part of the Victoria and Albert Museum collection in London.
