The Tabriz carpets are generally inspired from the carving of monuments that are found in the region. The shades incorporated have a contrasting variation throughout the design. This particular design is inspired by Isfahan carpets that were executed during the 16th century. Executed in navy blue and deep red hues, this carpet has a central medallion that is surrounded by two subsidiary medallions.
