Adeela Suleman completed her M.A in International Relations from Karachi University in 1995 and later
completed her B.F.A from the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture, Karachi in 1999.Currently,
Suleman is an Associate Professor and the Head of Fine Art Department at The Indus Valley School of Art
& Architecture. She is also the founding member and Coordinator of Vasl Artists’ Collective.
Adeela Suleman has exhibited in numerous solo exhibitions, her most recent being at Aicon Gallery, New York, USA in 2016; ‘Lay of the Land’, Gallery Latitude 28, New Delhi, India in 2015; Canvas, Karachi, Pakistan in 2012; Alberto Peola Gallery, Torino, Italy in 2012; Aicon Gallery, London, UK in 2011; Rohtas Gallery, Lahore, Pakistan in 2008. She has taken part in a number of group exhibitions at prestigious venues such as, National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, Taichung, Taiwan; Asian Art Museum, San Francisco, USA; Devi Art Foundation, Gurgaon, India; Asia Society Museum, New York USA; Mohatta Palace Museum , Karachi, Pakistan; Kiran Nader Museum of Art, New Delhi, India; National Gallery of Indonesia, Jakarta, Indonesia; La Trienniel di Milano Museum, Milan, Italy; National Gallery of Modern Art, Mumbai, India; Kunsthalle Fridericianum Kassel, Germany and Fondazione 107, Torino, Italy. She has also participated in the Asian Art Biennial, Taichung, Taiwan in 2013; Sea Triennial, Jakarta, Indonesia in 2013; Asia Triennial II, Manchester, UK in 2011; 2nd Fukuoka Asian Art Triennale, Fukuoka, Japan in 2002.;
