(b.1961) The artist completed his BFA from Andhra University (1977-83) and MFA from Benaras Hindu University (1983-85). He has participated in an International artists' workshop held at Koraput (Orissa) known as Dongar in 1995, and has been part of 10th Triennale international sculptors' workshop by Lalit Kala Akademy (2001) in Chandigarh, All India senior sculptors' camp in Visakhapatnam (1998), and Sculptor's Workshop by Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority in (1998). A solo show of the artist's works, largely comprising three-dimensional objects work was held at Gallery Sumukha, Bangalore in 2007. His works have been featured at Lalit kala Akademy's 41st national exhibition of art in New Delhi in 1998, and also at Ksetra Art Gallerym, Visakhapatnam (2004). He has executed more than 300 sculptures in Andhra Pradesh for public commissions, and has conceived/designed a tribal art and life museum in Andhra Pradesh, the state in which Venkat Bothsa lives and works.
